The Microcomputer Applications and Technology degree track
is designed to meet the training needs for small business entry-level positions
that require a variety of computer skills.
The Word, Excel and Access classes are intended to help prepare students
for the core Microsoft Office Specialist certification examinations for each
application. Training towards
preparation for the Computer Technology/Industry Association (CompTIA) A+ and Certified Internet Web (CIW) certifications
are included in this emphasis.
