Clovis Community College requires all new freshman students to take the Accuplacer. This placement test is designed to match a student’s ability in math, English, and reading to the corresponding course offered by the school. In some cases, students have learned the skills for a higher course level, but have forgotten many of them over time. Some students simply need a refresher course to boost their Accuplacer score by a few points.
Other students have already enrolled in a class but are concerned about their success in those classes. They want to get a jumpstart by working on subject material prior to the beginning of the semester.
Whichever category you fall into, the Center for Student Success can help. We offer video and computer tutorials for independent study if you are not yet enrolled at the college. We also have tutors who can assist enrolled students.
