Basic Reading, Writing, and Math
Whether this is your first time in an academic setting or you just want to brush up on reading, writing, and math skills the Center for Student Success can help.

Basic reading and writing may begin at a pre-literacy level, concentrating on the recognition and correct usage of spoken and written language. In this stage, students work one-on-one with a highly-qualified tutor in a comfortable, academic atmosphere.

Basic skills will also cover more advanced levels of reading and writing. Students who are assessed at this level may choose to attend structured reading classes, which focus on reading both for fun and for information, and/or writing classes that concentrate on English grammar, usage, and development.

Basic math begins with number recognition and assessing value and continues through pre-algebraic functions. The Center for Student Success offers a large selection of classes to accommodate a wide variety of student skills.

Whatever your needs, please don’t hesitate to come by the Center for Student Success.
