Staff at the Reference Desk, located in the center of the library, are available to assist you with your information needs. Our librarians provide:
- Training in the use of the Library’s On-line Public Access Catalog (OPAC).
- Training in the use of periodical indexes in print, on CD-ROM and the Internet.
- Instruction in how to use the Library’s resources.
- Assistance in finding factual information.
- Assistance in selecting an appropriate search strategy for a specific problem or assignment.
- Subject bibliographies of library holdings.
- General and specialized library tours. Tours can be arranged by contacting Kelly Gray at 575.769.4179 or kelly.gray@clovis.edu
- New faculty orientation.

| Interlibrary Loan Policies and Procedures... |
Interlibrary loan service is available to obtain research materials not owned by this library from other libraries and is available to current students, faculty, and staff. A request for material through interlibrary loan (ILL) should be considered only after exhausting all of our own library's resources.

One form should be filled out for each request. Requests should be turned in at the circulation desk or sent in electronically. If you have any questions contact Kelly Gray at kelly.gray@clovis.edu.
Charges
We are able to obtain most materials for free through reciprocal agreements. If there is a charge, we will notify you before ordering.
Time Required
Most interlibrary loans take 14-21 days. Books are sent through US Mail via library rate, which is less expensive but often slow. Please keep this in mind when making your requests.
Notification
The Interlibrary Loan staff notifies borrowers by phone or e-mail when their requests have been received. Patrons who wish to inquire about the status of their requests are welcome to check at the Circulation Desk.
Picking-up Materials
Pick up borrowed materials at the Circulation Desk. Please remember to bring your library card. Materials will be mailed to students taking online courses who live more than 40 miles from Clovis.
Returning and Renewing
Return borrowed materials to the Circulation Desk. Many lending libraries will not make Interlibrary Loan renewals. Requests for renewals will not be accepted.
Failure to return materials by the due date will jeopardize future ILL borrowing privileges for the entire college!
