Educational Assistant
Do you want to work with children and assist teachers?
The Educational Assistant degree prepares you for entry to the field of elementary education as an Educational Assistant.

What do Educational Assistants do?
  • Work under the direction of a teacher or principal
  • Provide extra support to the children who need it
  • Supervise children in the classroom, school yard or on field trips
  • Help students cope in the classroom
What it takes to be an Educational Assistant:
  • Commitment to helping children learn
  • Understanding and sensitivity to obstacles children face
  • Knowledge of child development
  • Being a team player
  • Willingness to accept direction from teacher or professionals responsible for a particular child in your care
