| What is a degree in Liberal Arts? |
This curriculum is designed for those students like you, who are not ready to declare a major but who wish to complete an associate degree as a foundation for a future baccalaureate degree. Usually, your future degree will be in one of the following disciplines:
- Social Sciences—anthropology, economics, political science, psychology, sociology
- Humanities—English, humanities, history, philosophy, religion
- Fine Arts—art, dance, music, theatre

With a liberal arts education, you will learn many fundamental skills and attributes essential in a competitive job market:
- Effective oral and written communication
- Ability to identify and define problems and tasks
- Ability to gather information from libraries, books, periodicals, interviews, and the world-wide Web for research

- Ability to organize ideas to create solutions
