Liberal Arts
You know that you love learning...
even if you are not one of those persons who has always known what career path to follow! An Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts will expose you to a broad array of subjects and teach you basic communication and thinking skills that will provide a foundation for many different careers.

What is a degree in Liberal Arts?
This curriculum is designed for those students like you, who are not ready to declare a major but who wish to complete an associate degree as a foundation for a future baccalaureate degree. Usually, your future degree will be in one of the following disciplines:
  • Social Sciences—anthropology, economics, political science, psychology, sociology
  • Humanities—English, humanities, history, philosophy, religion
  • Fine Arts—art, dance, music, theatre

What are the advantages of a Liberal Arts degree?
With a liberal arts education, you will learn many fundamental skills and attributes essential in a competitive job market:
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Ability to identify and define problems and tasks
  • Ability to gather information from libraries, books, periodicals, interviews, and the world-wide Web for research
  • Ability to think independently and creatively
  • Ability to organize ideas to create solutions
