Meet our Faculty
Ruthie Hefner Ph.D. Division Chair
Greetings to those of you who might be interested in Sociology, Criminal Justice, and Legal Studies. Courses and programs in these departments offer students an opportunity to explore cultural diversity, alternative lifestyles, and pressing social, legal, and political issues. Our part-time faculty provides students with an abundance of occupational and educational perspectives not offered in more traditional programs. Please contact me if you are interested in exploring any of our courses and I will provide you with details about the course curricula, teaching/learning strategies, and course objectives. We are proud to offer the Criminal Justice Program, Legal Studies Program, and Sociology curriculum online. We also offer a variety of "Topics" courses which might meet your special areas of interest in Sociology and Criminal Justice. I am also the Director of the Alternative Licensure Program for any of you who might be interested in entering the teaching field. If you have already earned a Bachelor's degree or higher and are interested in a new career in Elementary Education, Special Education, or Secondary Education, please contact me. In only four semesters, you may be ready to accept a delightful challenge.
