New Mexico is a great state for fishing! Learn more about fly fishing by learning the basic and advanced techniques in tying bass and trout flies. New and experienced learners are welcome. Some materials will be furnished, but additional tools will need to be purchased under the direction of the instructor. Materials list will be provided at the first class.

Jeet Kune Do
Instructor: Michael Watson
Jeet Kune Do is the martial art created by Bruce Lee. It is a principle-driven self-defense with simple and direct, or straightforward, movements and non-classical style. Jeet Kune Do practitioners believe in minimal movements with maximum effects and extreme speed. During the course the student will be educated on basic principles of self-defense. Classes will be conducted in a relaxed and informative manner. Michael Watson is an experienced instructor and teaches both children and adults the art of Jeet Kune Do. This History of Witches from 1100-1700 A.D. Instructor: Alvin Petty
This course will examine the major ways that people tried to escape the terror of their times when everything that was familiar to their society was dramatically changing and insecurity abounded economically, politically, and socially. Persecution groups is one way that people and states seek to escape the terror of their history. Computer Basics for Adults & Seniors
Instructor: Laura White
Learn to be comfortable using the computer and keeping up with the kids online. Easy to understand hands-on instruction for basic computer skills provided without the technical jargon. Students will be shown how to set up and use email as well as other popular online sites like Facebook, Pinterest, Skype and others.

Tennis: Ages 5 & Up
Instructor: Brad Heath
Learn a new sport or improve your skills! Tennis is a great way for children to develop fitness skills, improve hand-eye coordination, and mental acuity. Begin a love for the game of tennis by learning the fundamentals, including learning proper grips, footwork, the basic volley and forehand/backhand groundstrokes. Brad has 20+ years of coaching and instructing the game of tennis and will help your child develop skills and confidence. Students must furnish their own racquet but tennis balls will be provided. Students need to bring water.
Ages 8 & Up

High Plains Chorale
Instructor: Betty Jean Wozencraft-Ornellas
If you love to sing here's your chance to increase your skills and be a part of a community chorale! This class provides rehearsal and performance of music for mixed voices. Students will also rehearse and perform in the Spring Concert. This class may also be taken for credit or audit by enrolling in Mus106-Choral Ensemble. Please refer to the Fall 2014 Academic Class Schedule for information on fees. A minimum number of students is required for a class to be held, so early registration is encouraged. CCC retains the right to cancel classes due to lack of enrollment.
