What is a Degree Plan?
A Degree Plan is a list of classes agreed upon by a committee composed of faculty, college administration, and advisory groups made up of local representatives from various career groups. This list of classes is designed to provide you with the foundation skills necessary to be successful at the entry level in a particular field.

The Degree Plan will normally include several areas such as General Education, Related Requirements, and Program Requirements and possibly others. The General Education requirements are normally designed to give you a foundation in basic college skills and a rounded education which includes areas other than the specific career of choice. The Related Requirements and the Program Requirements are designed to provide a foundation education in the particular field.
