Spring 2015 Non-Credit Classes at CCC
Fly Rod Building
Instructor: Vance Dewbre
Learn basic and advanced techniques of fly rod construction. Save money and build your own high quality rod for trout, bass, pike, salmon, etc. Construction of fly rods in class typically will be in the one to ten weight class. Students will need to purchase their own rod components, but some rod building equipment will be furnished for class use. Quality and options will depend on the student's choice, but cost of supplies will range from $75 to $300. Students may visit with the instructor for advice in component selection.
Eight sessions, Tuesdays, Feb 17 – Apr 14, 6:30 – 9 p.m., Room 182.
Class will not be held on April 7 due to Spring Break.
Computer Basics for Adults & Seniors
Instructor: Laura White
Learn to be comfortable using the computer and keeping up with the kids online. Easy to understand hands-on instruction for basic computer skills provided without the technical jargon. Students will be shown how to set up and use email as well as other popular online sites like Facebook, Pinterest, and others.
8 Sessions: Tuesdays & Thursdays, Mar 17 – Apr 16, 4:30 – 6:00 pm, Room 108.
No classes held over Spring Break, April 6 – 10.
Tennis: Ages 5 & Up
Instructor: Brad Heath
Tennis is a great way for children to develop fitness skills, improve hand-eye coordination, and mental acuity. Begin a love for the game of tennis by learning the fundamentals, including learning proper grips, footwork, the basic volley and forehand groundstroke. Brad has 20+ years of coaching and instructing the game of tennis and will help your child develop skills and confidence. Students must furnish their own racquet but tennis balls will be provided. Students need to bring water.
Beginning Tennis: Ages 5 & Up - $40
Fridays @ 4:30 - 5 pm. Scheduled Dates: March 6, 13, 20 & 27
Intermediate/Advance Tennis - $50
Fridays @ 5 – 6 pm. Scheduled Dates: March 6, 13, 20 & 27
CCC Tennis Courts
A minimum number of students is required for a class to be held, so early registration is encouraged. CCC retains the right to cancel classes due to lack of enrollment.
Get started online by downloading the Non-Credit Registration Form. Print the form, complete all sections, and fax, mail, or bring it in. Be sure to include your payment information. (Non-credit Registration Forms can not be submitted online at this time. )

Fees must be paid at the time of registration. Senior citizens (65+) will receive a 10% discount with proof of age.
Fees are refunded if the class is canceled or a mail-in registration is received after a class is closed.
