BYE BYE BIRDIE Brings Broadway to Clovis

Experience Broadway at its best with BYE BYE BIRDIE, the ultimate feel good musical on Monday, March 2 at 7 p.m. at Marshall Auditorium as part of the 2008-2009 Cultural Arts Series sponsored by Clovis Community College and The Citizens Bank of Clovis.

BYE BYE BIRDIE revolves around a rock 'n' roll superstar who, to the dismay of his adoring fans, is about to be drafted into the army. Comic complications ensue when as part of one last publicity stunt cooked up by his agent, he promises to give a good-bye kiss to one lucky girl from Sweet Apple, Ohio on "The Ed Sullivan Show." The upbeat score features "How Lovely To Be a Woman," "The Telephone Hour," "Put On A Happy Face," "A Lot of Livin' To Do," and "One Last Kiss." This show is tops in imagination and good old fashion fun for the entire family!

The original Broadway musical won eight Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Director, Best Choreography and Best Supporting Actor. Tickets are $20 general admission and $15 for seniors, military and students. Tickets may be purchased at the CCC Cashiers' Windows, the CAFB ITT Office, or at the door the evening of the performance (pending availability).
