Grammy Nominated Cajun Band to Perform in Clovis...Cajun, Creole and Zydeco music takes center stage with the three-time, Grammy nominated Pine Leaf Boys on Saturday, January 23 at 7pm at the Clovis Civic Center. Presented by the Clovis Community College Cultural Arts Series and The Citizens Bank of Clovis, the concert will feature master fiddling, bellowing accordions, fast-picking guitars and Cajun French vocals.
Hailing from southwest Louisiana, the Pine Leaf Boys are well-known for energetic shows and thoughtful arrangements. They have breathed new life into Cajun music, reviving ancient songs and bringing them to the bandstand. Described as "the link that connects the young and the old generations," the Pine Leaf Boys play the old fashion dance hall standards while making a priority to bring songs of past masters into their repertoire. Rolling Stone magazine calls the concert "the next best thing to a Saturday night dance in Lafayette."
Tickets are $20 General Admission, $15 for Seniors, Military and Students, and are available at the CCC Cashiers' Windows, Information Tickets and Tours located in The End Zone at Cannon AFB, and at the Box Office the evening of the performance (pending availability).
