Artist Scott Blazek's Give Me Shelter Exhibit Featured...Scott Blazek's exhibit, Give Me Shelter is on exhibit at the Eula Mae Edwards Museum, 417 Schepps, Clovis Community College. Through the media of pen & ink, medal design, and acrylic paintings; Scott R. Blazek explores three universal art themes of mortality, sensuality and spirituality under the title, "Give Me Shelter" ~ Psalm 91: 1-2.
Blazek will display paintings and drawings with a challenging inspirational blend from both the Holy Bible and contemporary music that seeks to cause the viewer to look and then take a second look. This exhibit includes one of the oldest art forms - bas relief sculpture for coin and medal making. Clay and plaster models for medallions will be featured as well as Blazek's national winning design for a U. S. Commemorative Coin (the 1993 Madison, Bill of Rights).
Some of Blazek's poster art and original children's book illustrations will be included in the exhibit. The public is invited to a reception in the Gallery on Thursday, March 11, 6:00 - 7:30. Art work, prints, children's books and posters will be available for purchase - Mr. Blazek asks that interested parties submit a written bid if they wish to purchase any of his work.
Museum hours are from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday - Friday. Please call 769-4115 to schedule a time or receive more information.
