Clovis Community College accreditation continued...Clovis Community College is pleased to announce its accreditation through the Higher Learning Commission has been continued.
Accreditation with the Higher Learning Commission is granted for a period of 10 years, with reevaluation to take place during the 2021-2022 academic year.
As part of the accreditation process, members of the Higher Learning Commission, North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, evaluated CCC in early March, a process which included site tours and meetings with the public and constituency groups.
With the continuation, CCC will celebrate 35 years of independent accreditation when the college received its first independent accreditation status in 1987.
President Dr. Becky Rowley said, "I am very pleased to announce that Clovis Community College has received the maximum accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission. We are very proud of our accomplishments as noted in the report, and we look forward to accepting the Commissions' suggestions. The report really validates the work we have been doing. I am very proud of all of our staff and students."
The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) is an independent corporation and one of two commission members of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA), which was founded in 1895 as one of six regional institutional accreditors in the United States. The Higher Learning Commission accredits, and thereby grants membership in the Commission and in the North Central Association, degree-granting post-secondary educational institutions in the North Central region.
