Dazzling Bollywood performance coming to Clovis...

Clovis, NM (October 9, 2012) -- A spectacular blending of modern and traditional dance, Mystic India is set to wow Clovis audiences at 7 p.m., October 18, from the stage of Marshall Auditorium.

Presented in the traditions of Bollywood, the center of Indian Hindi-language cinema, Mystic India captures the heart of India through stunning presentation of its dance, music, and performance culture.

With extravagant costumes and elaborate sets that dazzle the imagination, the dancers of Mystic India put on a stellar and engaging show which fuses the multi-era styles of India into one unforgettable night.

"The dancers have grown up with a deep love and respect for their culture, for Bollywood, and for performance. We have danced in our communities and in the thriving collegiate South Asian dance scene, but public pressures have held talent back from professionally pursuing their passion," said Amit Shah, creative director and choreographer.

"Mystic India is a show where exceptionally talented performers can fulfill their lifelong dream of representing their culture on an international platform."

Presented by the Clovis Community College Cultural Arts Series and The Citizens Bank of Clovis, tickets to the event are $22, $17 for students, military and senior citizens, and a family friendly pass of 5 tickets for $45 is also available. Tickets can be purchased at the CCC Cashiers' Windows, Chamber of Commerce, or at the door the evening of the performance, pending availability.
