Chicago's Famed Second City Comes to Clovis...

CHICAGO'S FAMED SECOND CITY COMES TO CLOVIS

CLOVIS, NM - On Thursday, April 11th, Chicago's legendary sketch comedy theatre, The Second City: Laughing Matters, will appear at Marshall Auditorium at 7 p.m., featuring some of the best sketches, songs, and improvisations from The Second City's fifty two year history. The Second City is truly a Chicago landmark and a national treasure.

From the company that launched the careers of Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray and more, comes the next generation of the comedy world's best and brightest in an evening of hilarious sketch comedy and Second City's trademark improvisation. With scripted and improvisational elements, audiences always enjoy being part of the show and playing along with the next generation of comic legends.

With economic uncertainty, political gridlock and an oversupply of Kardashians clogging up our televisions, laughing has never mattered more and The Second City is here to bring some well needed silliness and hilarious spontaneity to a world in need of some comic relief. The Second City: Laughing Matters puts comedy first in a wickedly funny revue that skewers and celebrates in equal doses. Whether it's ripped from the morning headlines or a classic gem from their archives, The Second City is always a laugh out loud hit.

The Second City: Laughing Matters - 7 p.m. April 11, Marshall Auditorium. Tickets are $22.00 general admission and $17.00 for seniors/military/students and may be purchased at the CCC Cashiers' Window, Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce or the evening of the performance, pending availability.
