Nola Pawol to serve as next member of the Board of Trustees...

Clovis, NM (5-6-13) - Clovis Community College is pleased to announce Nola Pawol has been selected to serve a two-year term as one of the five members on the CCC Board of Trustees. She was appointed by the Board at the last Trustee meeting held May 1. The District Four position became vacant following the recent death of Charles Guthals, who served as a board member from March 2007 until April 2013.

When asked about serving as a new board member, Pawol said, "I am an advocate for education and have always been a supporter of community colleges. More than ever, community colleges play a very important role to prepare young people for their professions." She went on to say, "I was extremely proud to showcase Clovis Community College and its programs when recruiting medical professionals to our community."

Pawol, a longtime member of the community, began her career in Clovis in 1970 as a physical therapist at Retirement Ranch. In 1978 she accepted a position with Plains Regional Medical Center where she became the Director of Rehab, Home Health Care, and Hospice in 2003. She now enjoys playing golf and has been an avid supporter and season ticket holder of the CCC Cultural Arts Series since its start in 2001.
