Clovis June 6, 2006 - During a regularly scheduled board meeting, Wednesday, June 7th, the Clovis Community College Board of Trustees unanimously approved the contract for Dr. John Neibling. Neibling was selected to replace Dr. Beverlee McClure as Clovis Community College's President during an April 26, 2006 board meeting.

His prior employment includes Vice President for Instruction at Scottsdale Community College in Arizona where he had served since 2001. He held a similar position for ten years at San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico. Dr. Neibling possesses a doctorate in Educational Administration and Supervision from Arizona State University and degrees in English from the University of Kansas.

"We would like to welcome him and his wife, Karen, to Clovis and look forward to a long and positive working relationship that will benefit the college and our community," stated Russell Muffley, Board Chairman. Other board members also wish him well. Gayla Brumfield, Board Secretary commented, "We are looking forward to his arrival and working together on moving the college forward; there will be a lot of exciting projects ahead." Bob Lydick expressed, "Glad to get him started in his new job," and Arnold Martinez wishes him success.

Dr. Neibling will assume his presidential duties as June 26, 2006. Several community and business receptions are planned in the coming months.
