Clovis Community College & the Citizens Bank of Clovis proudly present Barrage...

Clovis, NM (December 4, 2007)— Get ready for a high octane fiddle fest when Barrage hits the stage at five New Mexico venues in December including Clovis, Socorro, Las Cruces, Albuquerque and Farmington.

This internationally acclaimed group will perform in Clovis on Tuesday, December 4 at 7 pm in Marshall Auditorium as part of the Cultural Arts Series presented by Clovis Community College and The Citizens Bank of Clovis. Tickets are $15 general admission and $10 for seniors, military and students.

With contemporary world music influences, layered vocal arrangements and pulsating modern beats and rhythms, Barrage features a gorgeous, hip cast in a special holiday performance where artists will dance, sing, tumble, roll, jump, and duel, all the while playing their fiddles like wild, well-rehearsed crazy people. Likened to "Lord of the Dance meets Stomp," the Denver Post called the performance, "Too WOW for words!"

Fans in Europe, Asia and North America have enjoyed Barrage at international festivals, concerts and special events. Their performance offers a diverse fusion of cultures, musical styles and incredible performance vitality.

Since its creation in Calgary, Canada, Barrage played for presidents, prime ministers and princes. Their performances have been broadcast on PBS in the USA, BBC and UK, and on CBD in Canada. The cast of Barrage features six violinists/vocalists, one drummer, one bass player, and a guitarist. Their amazing energy and musical virtuosity create a musical spectacle that the entire family will enjoy.
