Each year the cost of presenting world class entertainment continues to rise and ticket prices cover only a portion of the total costs incurred to present the Series. In an effort to keep ticket prices affordable without sacrificing quality, the Series relies on the generous support of our local and regional communities. Support from donors is critical to maintaining the artistic excellence of the Series and providing educational outreach opportunities. Clovis Community College is a 501(C)(3) non-profit and all donations are tax deductible as allowable by law.
Sponsorships
Recognizing that a vibrant cultural program has a dynamic effect on the economic life of our community, business owners are invited to align themselves with this successful program that welcomes more than 8,500 guests each year. Sponsorships are available at many levels and offer valuable marketing opportunities and contact with Series patrons while making a viable contribution to the arts. Sponsorships allow the Series to keep ticket prices affordable and offer important educational outreach opportunities to area youth.
Benefits include season tickets, listing and color display ads in all programs, sponsor spotlight, listing and website links on CAS webpage, one “thanks” ad, the right to use the CAS logo in internal or external company promotions, invitations to special receptions with the performers, and the satisfaction of knowing that the contribution brings harmony and color to our community, making eastern New Mexico a better place to live and work.

Planned Giving
The Series also recognizes individuals and families who include the Series in their estate plans. Support through planned giving creates a lasting legacy for generations of future artists and patrons for years to come. Planned gifts can be made in the form of bequests, life insurance and stocks to provide both substantial financial and philanthropic benefits for the donor. Norman and Vi Petty Performing Arts Center Renovation
Thanks to Representative Anna Crook, Clovis Community College received $50,000 from the New Mexico Legislature in 2007 to begin the planning phase to renovate the Norman and Vi Petty Performing Arts Center (formerly the Mesa Theatre). Van H. Gilbert Architect, PC of Albuquerque created a beautiful plan to renovate the theater and the adjoining buildings which include The Office, donated by the Miller family, and the corner building, donated by the Crume family. In addition to performances, the facility will provide for classroom and reception spaces.
A capital campaign to raise funds for the renovation will feature special naming opportunities, including buildings, rooms and seats. The theatre renovation will provide an attractive cultural feature in downtown Clovis and contribute to the revitalization of the downtown area. The College looks forward to presenting concerts in the theatre and celebrating its rich musical heritage from when Norman and Vi Petty worked with Buddy Holly and other talented musicians, including Lee Ann Rimes, who recorded her hit single, “Blue,” in the theatre.
