Step 1: Applying

New students can apply online or download a written application. Once you've successfully applied, you will receive your C-Number (student ID number) that you will need for a variety of campus services.

Step 2: FAFSA and Financial Aid

All students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). We have computers and friendly assistants to help you complete this process.

CCC's school code for FAFSA is 004743.

Also, we've made applying for scholarships at CCC quick and easy, allowing students to apply for all available scholarships with one simple, online application using AcademicWorks. Other payments can be made at the Cashiers' Windows once you are registered for classes. Be sure to ask your financial aid specialist about our flexible payment plans.

Step 3: Placement Testing

The CCC Testing Center will help new students take the Accuplacer. Accuplacer will help new students get placed into the appropriate level of English, Math, and Reading courses. Students can also use their ACT or SAT test scores in place of the Accuplacer. Submit all official transcripts or score reports to the Admissions and Records Office.

Step 4: Meet Your Advisor

Our academic advisors will help you interpret your test scores, transfer of credits from other schools, and help select classes for the upcoming semester. All new students must meet with an advisor who will help manage degree plans and schedules. Make an appointment today by calling 575.769.4020 or academic.advising@clovis.edu.

Step 5: Student ID Card

Say cheese! Youíre one step closer to becoming an official CCC student. Once youíve registered for classes, you will need to obtain a student ID card by visiting Campus Security. Your student ID is needed at the library, gym, computer labs, and more.

Step 6: Orientation and Tours

Our orientation for new students will tell you all about our campus, departments and services you can take advantage of, and more. Orientation includes a campus tour so you will feel right at home on your first day of class.
