Is there a future in an Industrial Technology career?

Due to the wide variety of career choices utilizing an Industrial Technology degree, the future is only limited by your own imagination. Our students are exposed to a wide variety of maintenance and operations coursework, providing students with a unique blend of training for a high wage and in demand field.

Why choose a career in Industrial Technology?

Industrial Technology programs prepare graduates to operate and maintain industrial equipment in production plants and wind farms. Graduates of a degree program in Industrial Technology will find work in a wide variety of career fields, including industrial production, industrial maintenance, and power generation. If you enjoy working with your hands and are intrigued by how machines work, a degree in Industrial Technology might be for you. In this field you'll learn the fundamentals of the operation and maintenance of complex industrial systems.

Why is the Industrial Technology program at CCC so outstanding?

The Industrial Technology program provides two concentration options: Plant Operations and Equipment and Wind Energy. Students can choose one concentration or both concentrations. Students have the opportunity to gain three certificates of completion. In addition, the program offers two Associate of Applied Science degrees with a concentration in Plant Operations and Equipment or Wind Energy. Our dedicated and professional faculty are ready to share with you their experience and knowledge of the fundamentals of the operation and maintenance of complex industrial systems.

Training in the Plant Operations and Equipment degree track will prepare individuals for a broad range of entry-level electrical/mechanical technician positions or technical support positions in the industrial, manufacturing, technology, or commercial environments. Training in the Wind Energy degree track will prepare individuals for entry-level wind technician positions or technical support positions in the wind energy field.

The Industrial Technology program is a full-time program that runs from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday through Friday. Click here for details on the admission process. After successful completion of the courses in the full-time program, students will earn a Certificate of Completion in Industrial Technology and a Certificate of Completion in Wind Energy. Students can also obtain a Certificate of Completion in Plant Operations and Equipment by taking two additional classes (INDT 200 and INDT 201), which are offered in the evenings. Students are also encouraged to complete their associate degree in Industrial Technology. Students can choose to get an Associate of Applied Science degree with a concentration in Plant Operations and Equipment or an Associate of Applied Science degree with a concentration in Wind Energy or both.
