Clovis, New Mexico – On February 27, 2016, Phi Theta Kappa members from nine chapters in New Mexico collaborated for their spring convention at Santa Fe Community College. The Alpha Tau Nu Chapter of Clovis Community College was recognized for its outstanding and excellent service. Six awards were received on behalf of the former chapter officers, Adrian Mackey, Jennifer Acosta, Meckenzee Frank, Christian Rojas, and Alicia Zapotoczny, for their hard work in 2015.

In addition to the chapter awards, chapter and contact advisor, Misty Padilla, received recognition for her commitment and dedication for not only the chapter and its members but for the New Mexico Region.

The chapter president for 2016, Paul Parish, was elected the 2016-2017 Central District Vice President of the New Mexico region. Parish will now serve both the local chapter and the region.
Currently, the chapter is looking for four individuals that would like to serve as a chapter officer for 2016-2017. The chapter officer positions available are: treasurer and recording secretary, marketing and public relations, vice president, and director of fundraising. This year is predicted to be prodigious and successful. Students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, should be advised about becoming a PTK member and chapter officer.
