The Accuplacer assessment is offered to students as a free way to ensure proper placement in a math, reading, or English class that is appropriate for you.

Do I Need to Take the Accuplacer?

All students enrolling for the first time in courses with a math component, a writing component, or courses that require extensive reading are required to take the Accuplacer or other appropriate placement test before registering.

How Can I Prepare for Accuplacer?

Students can access the Accuplacer Study Guide and practice before coming in for the assessment. For more information about Accuplacer, please visit the official Accuplacer website.

What Happens Next?

Depending on your score, you will provide your results to your Academic Advisor and be placed in the appropriate course. Students who wish to retake the Accuplacer can do so once per semester and wait 24 hours between attempts.
