Accuplacer

The Accuplacer assessment is offered to all CCC students for free to ensure proper placement in math, reading, and/or English courses.

Do I Need to Take the Accuplacer?

All students enrolling for the first time in courses with a math and writing component, or courses that require extensive reading are required to take the Accuplacer or other appropriate placement tests before registering.

How Can I Prepare for Accuplacer?

Students can access the Accuplacer Practice Test and practice before taking the assessment. These sample tests are not official ACCUPLACER tests, but resemble the test-taking experience.

Online Accuplacer Practice Test

 By clicking the link above you will be directed to the online practice test. You must first create an account with a strong password. You will be prompted to select the application you would like to view and then take the appropriate practice test. CCC offers the Next-Generation Accuplacer, you will select "Next-Generation Practice Tests."

What Happens Next?

You will be provided your results immediately after testing is completed. The next step is meeting with an Academic Advisor, who will assist in the placement of the appropriate course(s). Students who wish to retake the Accuplacer can do so once per semester, waiting 24 hours between attempts.
