CLEP exams allow students to earn credit by examination which in turn can save valuable time and money in earning a degree.

CLEP requires a 90-day waiting period between retake attempts. For more information, please visit the CLEP CollegeBoard website.

Cost

  • $20 administrative fee, payable to Clovis Community College. This fee is due before your appointed test time.
  • $93 (effective July 2023) CLEP Exam Fee, payable online when you purchase the voucher . 

Registration and Requirements

You must create an account at the CLEP website and purchase your exam, which will generate a voucher (ticket ID). After purchasing a voucher, contact the Testing Center at 575.769.4125 or via email at testing@clovis.edu to schedule an appointment for your exam from the dates listed here. You must provide a valid, government-issued photo ID during exam check-in.

During the Semester*
Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 p.m.
 

Between Semesters*
Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
 
Appointments are recommended for ALL exams.
