  2. Online - Virtual Learning Environment

When

  1. Live - at a designated, scheduled time
  2. Online - at the student's own time

How

  1. On-site Classroom Technology
  2. Mobile Technology (home computer, mobile phone, laptop)

Course Model Descriptions

On Campus

  • Where: All class time spent on CCC campus
  • When: Live, at a designated, scheduled time
  • How: Using on-site classroom technology

Live Online

  • Where: All class time spent in a virtual learning environment
  • When: Live, at a designated, scheduled time
  • How: Using mobile technology

Fully Online

  • Where: All class time spent in a virtual learning environment
  • When: Online, at the student's own time
    (assignment deadlines specified by instructor)
  • How: Using mobile technology

Hybrid

  • Where: Portion of the course is spent on campus, and portion is spent online in a virtual learning environment.
  • When: Class time occurs with a mix of designated, scheduled time and work at the student's own time.
  • How: Using both on-site and mobile technology.

Mixed

Instructor defines the mode; Student decides how to participate

  • On Campus - At a designated, scheduled time
  • Live Online - at a designated, scheduled time
  • Fully Online - completed on the student's own time
    (assignment deadlines specified by instructor)
