The Professional Development Center is available to all staff, full- and part-time instructors. It can be used as office space to check e-mail , create classroom materials, grade papers, and as a place to meet while on campus. The PDC is working to create a comfortable space to attend professional development workshops to increase your skills and knowledege.
The PDC has multimedia computers equipped with the latest hardware and software. All levels of training for beginning to advanced users are provided.
The PDC staff are eagerly waiting to meet you to offer trainings on our current software and hardware! We also would be more than happy to offer a demonstration on any potential new classroom technology.
If you or a peer would like to attend a professional development workshop, please look for upcoming events to attend via Outlook. If you are interested in hosting a workshop, please reach out to Brandon Finney finneyb@clovis.edu and Selina Marriott marriotts@clovis.edu.
If you have any requests or ideas for new tech, that would benefit faculty, let the CTLA know! We would be happy to research any new technology opportunites and schedule future demos!
If you want to bring in new pedagogies, assignments, and/or technology, reach out to the PDC for consultation, training, and support.
