CCC’s Cultural Arts Series Set To Open 2022-23 Season

The Cultural Arts Series is set for a full season of returning fan favorites and several new acts, with a total of seven performances.

“We are so ready to get back into presenting again,” said Cultural Arts Director, Christy Mendoza. “We missed all the smiling faces of our audiences and can’t wait to see everyone back at all our venues.”

Bluffett & Son of a Sailor Band kick of the season with a tribute to Jimmy Buffett on September 24, 2022 at 7 p.m. in Marshall Auditorium. Bluffett takes on the atmosphere of a genuine Buffett concert including audience participation and the energy that goes with it.

Baracutanga returns to Marshall on October 27 after a successful performance during last spring’s CAS season. The seven-piece band blends South American ancestral traditions with a modern sensibility and creates songs that are exciting with a distinct Latin flavor.

On November 12, Sons of the Pioneers will bring classical cowboy harmonies and boot stomping instrumentals to the Norman & Vi Petty Performing Arts Center.

Finishing up the fall slate is another fan favorite, A Mariachi Christmas at Marshall Auditorium on December 17.

After the holiday break, The Jersey Tenors will take over the Petty Performing Arts Center on February 4, 2023. Straight from Broadway, this opera/rock mash-up sensation blends iconic opera classics with rock and roll hits from Queen, ABBA, Journey, Elton John, Billy Joel and others, along with the songs of Jersey’s finest – Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, Frank Sinatra, Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Kool & the Gang and Whitney Houston.

The String Queens, a dynamic trio that perform music spanning from the Jazz age to today’s Billboard Hot 100 charts, come to Marshall on March 16.

Rounding out the season on April 6 is State Street Ballet with their performance of “The Jungle Book” at Marshall Auditorium.

All shows will start at 7 p.m. and the schedule is subject to change. Tickets can be purchased at the CCC Cashier’s Window (cash, check, credit card) or the night of each show (cash or check only). For more information, visit clovisarts.org or call 575-769-4031.
