Our goal in the Academic Advising Office is to assist our students in successfully completing their academic goals. Our students are assigned an Academic Advisor specialized in their field of studies, for guidance in selecting the best path in completing their Degree and/or Certificate. I am the Director of Academic Advising and the academic advisor for all the allied health programs here at Clovis Community College. The Allied Health programs include Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Physical Therapist Assistant, Emergency Medical Services, Phlebotomy, and Nursing Assistant.  If you are interested in any of these exciting allied health programs, please contact me and I will be happy to help you with whatever questions you may have.

I have been with Clovis Community College since September 2001. I am originally from Petersburg, Texas. I received my master's and bachelor's degrees from Texas Tech University and my associate's degree from South Plains College. I am an Academic Advisor/Counselor for CCC. I am originally from the Midwest and came to Clovis, New Mexico as an Air Force dependent almost twenty years ago. I look forward to helping you navigate your college journey whether it is for the two-year program, Certificate of Achievement, Certificate of Completion, or preparing to transfer to a four-year school to earn your bachelor’s degree. I earned my Bachelor of University Studies from Eastern New Mexico University and my Master of Social Work degree from New Mexico Highlands University. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) for the state of New Mexico.  I am the academic advisor for Fine Arts, Graphic Design/Media Art, Computer Information System/Information Technology, Health and Physical Education, Mathematics, and Biology.

I am the Student Resources Coordinator and Academic Advisor for Business Administration, Early Childhood Education, Criminal Justice, Paralegal, and Behavioral Science at CCC.

 

I graduated from Clovis High School. I received my Associate of Arts from CCC, my Bachelor of Business Administration from ENMU, and my Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Biola University in La Mirada, California.

Since then, I have worked as a teacher, academic tutor, and advisor with elementary, high school, undergraduate, and postgraduate students from diverse backgrounds.
