The CCC Testing Center provides exam proctoring for two different high school equivalency credentials that are recognized in place of a high school diploma. This page outlines the difference between the two exams.
NOTE: GED® and HiSET test scores cannot be combined.
The GED exam is available in CBT (Computer-Based Testing), and is administered at the CCC Testing Center. The exam is offered in both English and Spanish.
The GED test is made up of four subtests:

The GED exam costs $80. There are 4 modules at $20 per module, total cost is $80. The first two retakes are free (per subject).
After two retests, you must wait 60 days and the process repeats. You have three years to complete and pass the test, after which your scores expire and are voided.
HiSET Option 1) $50 if you purchase the entire battery of all five tests (tests have to be purchased together, but don't have to be scheduled together); two free retests are included per subject within 12 months; only three tries per subject in a calendar year.
Option 2) $15 per individual module for a total of $75; $15 per retest; only three tries per subject in a calendar year. You have three years to complete and pass the test, after which your scores expire and are voided.

A minimum passing score of 145 (on a scale of 100-200) must be achieved on each of the four tests in order to pass the GED exam.
Official scores will be available online at your MyGED account. Order your Official High School Equivalency (HSE) Transcript and Diploma from www.DiplomaSender.com.
A minimum score of 8 (on a scale of 1-20) must be achieved on each sub test of the HiSET exam, plus a combined score of 45 or higher on all five tests, and a minimum score of 2 on the essay portion of the Writing test. All three criteria must be met to pass the HiSET exam.
