Complaints and Grievances

Student Complaints, Appeals, and Grievances

Clovis Community College is committed to providing fair and equitable processes for resolving student concerns, complaints, and appeals. Students are encouraged to first seek resolution at the institutional level through the appropriate college process outlined below.

Student Appeals

The Student Appeals process provides a formal mechanism for students to request review of academic decisions, determinations related to college policy, or the application of institutional policies and procedures.

Appeals are reviewed in accordance with established institutional procedures to ensure fair and consistent application of college standards and are available in the CCC Catalog and CCC Student Handbook.

Discrimination and Grievancy Policy

The Discrimination and Grievance Policy outlines procedures for the prompt and equitable resolution of complaints involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, or other student grievances.

SARA Complaint Process

Students enrolled in distance education courses through the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA) may file a complaint with the New Mexico Higher Education Department after all applicable institutional complaint and grievance procedures have been exhausted.

State Complaint Process

Students who are not satisfied with the outcome of the institutional complaint or grievance process after completing all procedures outlined in the CCC Catalog and CCC Student Handbook may contact the New Mexico Higher Education Department.
